‘The most important thing is to never stop asking’

During COVID19 and a worldwide lockdown, I think that it is safe to say we have had the opportunity to do a lot of reflection, soul searching and spending time on ourselves. Now this post is short… but it could get quite deep (if you want it to). Not only that, but we are now 6 months into this year… the half way point of 2020 surely deserves some reflection.

Or, it’s just a list of questions if you skim read it. However, maximising the benefits of reflection during this time and asking yourself questions that you perhaps have never asked yourself can stimulate your mind and compel you to reconsider the way you live and how you look at the environment around you.

Sometimes as humans, we fear these deep inquiries. They make us feel incredibly vulnerable and scared which is totally natural. Nevertheless, when we are ready, they have the ability to awaken our true essence of living. Additionally, by answering these types of questions, one will be able to get to know themselves better by creating a foundation for a happy life with purpose and meaning. These questions will trigger answers, answers which will be different for each individual that answers them. Lots can be gained through these mind opening questions and exercises like this. It is perfect for personal growth and self reflection.

If you don’t know the answers that is also fine, our minds are immeasurable. The answers are there, the more frequently you ask, the clearer your mind will be in order to collect the answers.

Just a heads up, before composing this list, I had never asked myself these questions either. In a time of reflection due to what has been going on globally, I thought why not dig a little deeper and ask… how well do you know yourself?

  1. How would you describe yourself?
  2. What would tomorrow me think?
  3. What are you passionate about?
  4. What’s the worst that will happen?
  5. If you could, what’s the one thing you would tell yourself 10 years ago?
  6. What are the most important things to you in life?
  7. Do you love yourself?
  8. What are the biggest things you’ve learned in life to date?
  9. What brings a smile to my face?
  10. What limiting beliefs are you holding on to?

Deep right…for me, it is these types of questions that make me feel so uncomfortable but I know that this will push me out of my comfort zone.

Take a few deep breathes, relax and do a little thinking…
